Sunset Squadron Dragonflies Artwork

This Sunset Squadron Dragonflies artwork is the largest box frame I have created to date. It blends a wide range of natural materials with recycled beads and depicts the golden glow of an autumnal evening. There are five dragonflies of differing size, each with a unique combination of beads. They are set against a hand-marbled background paper in golden shades and surrounded with moss, skeleton leaves, pebbles, dried seedheads and wood. Recycled card, ribbon, raffia and faux leaves in a variety of materials complete the scene along with clouds in golden gauze and a pendant sun.

The black box frame is 53 cm square (21  ins. approx) and has a hanging hook on the back. The glazing is perspex for safety and to reduce the weight.
