Printing Papers and Inks

I use premium heavyweight papers ranging from 230gsm to 300gsm for my prints. GSM stands for grams per square metre and refers to the thickness of the paper or card. The higher the number, the thicker the paper. These papers have a smooth bright white surface for vibrant colour and sharp detail. The paper may have a matt, gloss or lustre (semi-gloss/pearlised) finish depending on the subject matter.

I also use quality 240gsm (gloss) or 300gsm (matt) cardstock from the same supplier for my greeting cards. These are either 7 x 5 inches or 140 mm (5.5 ins) square.

My printer uses six high quality original Canon dye ink cartridges. These too provide vibrant colour and good image longevity when framed behind glass.
