Vibrant Flaming Phoenix Print

My Vibrant Flaming Phoenix print was created from a rather unpromising original photograph that you can see in the picture selection. I think you’ll agree that it’s very different! The photograph is actually of an eagle sculpture on a gate pillar at Thirlstane Castle, home to the Earls of Lauder in the Scottish Borders. I created two images from the photograph and you will also find the other version, called Phoenix Rising, on my site.

The phoenix is a mythological bird associated with Ancient Greece. It was believed to regenerate itself from the ashes of its predecessor. The word phoenix is also thought to refer to its purple-red colour because of associations with Phoenician, meaning those who worked with red dyes.

The print is available in three sizes: A3, A4 and A5. They are printed on quality 300gsm paper with a matt finish. Prints will be despatched in either a stiff-backed envelope or rolled in a postal tube. UK postage is included in the price.
