Boreas Wind God Framed Print
This Boreas Wind God framed print is one of the four cardinal winds of ancient Greece. I created it digitally from my photograph of a statue known as the Antikythera Youth, which is in the National Archaeological Museum in Athens.
The image conveys something of the god’s character in the icy colours and stark portrait. They emphasise his role as a winter wind, bringer of storms and icy blasts. The giclee print is approx 20 cm (7.9 ins) square and has been mounted and framed in black wood. The total size is 35 cm (13.75 ins) square.
