Apparition – Greek Kouros Print

This ‘Apparition’ Greek Kouros print features a statue believed to have been used as a grave marker to commemorate a fallen warrior, the stylised image of a youth. My digital print presents an ethereal vision of the youth, at once part of but distinct from the background, reminiscent of a shadowy woodland glade. The print would make a unique gift for anyone interested in ancient Greece, classical history or Greek mythology.

The image is 40.5 x 26.5 cm, professionally printed edge to edge (no border) using archival quality inks and 149gsm paper. It will be despatched rolled in a postal tube.

This particular statue dates from around 530 BCE, is from the Attic region of Greece and known as the Anavyssos Kouros. It is named as Kroisos and can be found in the National Archaeological Museum in Athens.
