African Skies Dragonfly Assemblage

This Wide African Skies mixed media assemblage recreates the warm colours and wide open spaces of the African plains. I have used a mixture of new and upcycled materials including jewellery, fabrics, dried and faux flowers and natural pebbles. My version of a Violet Dropwing or Purple-Blushed Darter dragonfly hovering over the sunlit landscape adds a focal point of delicate beauty and creates an expansive and peaceful scene. It captures the warmth and tranquility of distant lands woven together with the subtle textures of upcycled materials.

This unique artwork would make a wonderful gift for any insect or nature lover or anyone who loves the African landscape.

The black box frame is 37 cm square and it can be displayed either on a shelf or hung on the wall.
