Tinkering with Photographs
I wanted to give you a little background about my Digital Imaginings. They started life quite a few years ago when I began applying digital processes to some of my original photographs.
At first I used software that could produce two different painterly effects: collage and pastel, as seen in the two images below of Tunis Cathedral (left) and Arles Arena (right).
I used some images of local landmarks for notecards when we had our retail shop in Melrose, Scottish Borders. When we gave up the shop in 2017 I decided to explore further using more and very varied digital processes but always with an emphasis on colour. My Homage to Vincent print at the top is one example. Or perhaps you prefer the tropical vibrancy of my Cicada print below?
Every image I produce is created from one of my photographs. Each one is different and creates its own unique impression. Some are best suited to become part of my range of art cards while others make great prints for framing.
I hope you will enjoy looking through the collection and that you will find just what you are looking for.
Derrick
